Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled reader/writer by providing an operating part consisting of a key input part equipped with respective types of keys and a displaying part to insert and remove the card at the upper part of a rise surface. CONSTITUTION:At the top surface of a device main body 11, which makes built-in a function to read out and to verify information stored in the card and a function to write the information into the card with the operation of the operating part, an inclined surface 12, which gradually rises from this way toward a recess, and a rise surface 13 to sharply rise at the termination of the inclinded surface 12, are provided. Further, an operating part 17, which consists of a key input part 15 equipped with the respective types of the keys and a displaying part 16, is provided at the inclined surface 12, and a card inserting part 19 to insert and remove the card is provided at the upper part of the rise surface 13, and the device is constituted in such a way. Thus, the necessity to arrange side by side the operating part and the card inserting part is eliminated, and the whole device can be made miniaturized.
