Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce NOX and SOX in waste gases and carry out operation without deteriorating thermal efficiency of the whole plant, by partially taking out a gas formed in a coal gasifier, removing NH3, H2S, etc., and feeding the resultant gas to a gas turbine. CONSTITUTION:A gas, formed in a coal gasifier and fed to a gas turbine is partially taken out between the coal gasifier and the gas turbine and introduced into a wet absorption device to remove NH3, H2S, etc. The resultant gas is then fed to the gas turbine and the NH3 in an absorbing solution in the afore- mentioned wet absorption device is collected. The obtained gas, together with a combustion waste gas from the gas turbine, is introduced into a denitration device and treated.
