Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title remedy which is also effective against resistant strains and has a low toxicity, by using IgG human monoclonal antibody reacting with the glycoprotein of herpes simplex virus and acyclovir as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:The title remedy includes, as active ingredients, an IgG human monoclonal antibody of about 160,000mol.wt. which reacts with the glycoprotein B in herpes simplex virus I or II, and acyclovir of the formula. The forms of the preparation are, for example, a mixed powder for injection, a combination kit of separately prepared monoclonal antibody and acyclovir, in which the content of the monoclonal antibody is 1-10mg/ml, while acyclovir, 10-1,000mg. The salts to be added to the solution for dissolution are 0.9w/v% of NaCl, 0.02M of sodium phosphate, and human serum albumin is added as a protein stabilizer.
