[Detailed Description of the Invention] (1) Technical Field of the Invention The present invention provides a system in which, when a digital terminal sends a transmission request signal, a line termination device waits for a response from the other terminal and then sends a transmission ready signal to the terminal. This invention relates to a signaling system that ensures reliable communication between terminals.

(2) Prior art and problems The signal transmission and reception system has conventionally been configured as shown in Figure 1. When the transmitting terminal DTE1, which has a signal to be transmitted, is connected to the exchange NW via the line termination device DCE1 and sends it to another terminal DTE2, first the terminal DTE1 is connected to the exchange NW via the line termination device DCE1.
It issues a transmission request signal RS to 1. If it can be confirmed that this signal has been received by the other party's line terminating device DCE2, the transmission path has been secured and the signal to be transmitted can be sent at that time, but with conventional devices, this confirmation was not possible. In the conventional configuration, the transmission line and line termination device were analog type, so even if another line termination device DCE2 receives the transmission request signal RS normally, it sends a reply to the line termination device DCE1. No means were provided. For this reason, the line termination device DCE1 has a built-in transmittable signal CS generator CSG and a timer TM, and when the transmission request signal RS is received from the transmitting terminal DTE1, the timer TM starts counting. Then, the exchange NW and the other circuit termination device DCE1 operate normally, receive the transmission request signal RS, detect the carry generated by the RS,
Wait for sufficient time to elapse to send the carry detection signal CD to the terminal DTE2. When this time has elapsed, the circuit terminating device DCE1 sends a clear-to-send signal CS to the terminal.
The signal is sent to DTE1, and DTE1 starts transmitting the signal to be transmitted. In this case, since the CS was not sent after detecting the normal operation of the system including other terminals, it was completely unclear whether the signal to be sent could normally reach the other party's line termination device DCE2.

(3) Purpose of the Invention The purpose of the present invention is to improve the above-mentioned drawbacks and to enable the line termination device on the receiving side to send a response signal by relatively simple means, and the line termination device on the transmitting side to transmit a response signal to its own terminal. An object of the present invention is to provide a digital signal transmission system that makes a transmittable signal highly reliable.

(4) Structure of the invention The structure of the present invention to achieve the above object is as follows:
When a digital terminal connected to an exchange via a line terminating device transmits a signal to another digital terminal, in response to a transmission request signal from the terminal to the line terminating device, the line terminating device sends a send permission signal to the terminal. In the signal transmission method for sending out a specific 2-bit signal, the transmission information between the line termination devices includes a specific 2-bit signal;
One of the 2-bit signals is used as a transmission request signal, and the other is used as a carry detection completion signal, and the line terminating device that receives the signal via the exchange converts the signal information of the transmission request signal in the received information into a carry detection completion signal. and means for inserting the signal information of the transmission request signal into the position of the carry detection completion signal in the transmission information to be sent to the line termination device on the transmitting side. The line termination device on the transmitting side sends a transmittable signal to the digital terminal upon detection of the carry detection signal.

(5) Embodiment of the Invention FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing the configuration of an embodiment of the present invention, and the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 indicate the same parts. In FIG. 2, terminals DTE1 and DTE2 are digital terminals. Line termination equipment DCE
1, the DCE 2 is equipped with signal bit allocation means and transmittable signal sending means. Sending line termination equipment
As shown in FIG. 3A, the DCE1 provides specific signals of one bit each as signal bits S0 and S1, for example before and after the digital transmission information SG to be transmitted, and one signal bit S0 is a transmission request from the own terminal. This is used when the signal RS is hot, and the other signal S
1 is assigned to the carry detection completion signal for checking the response from the other party. The transmitting means for transmitting the clear signal CS is provided with a generator CSG for the clear signal CS, and by checking the information of the signal bit S1 in the response information SG', if it is set, it is determined that there is a response from the other party, and the terminal DTE1
The purpose is to transmit a clear-to-send signal CS to the sender.

Line termination device DCE1 is digital terminal DTE1
When it receives a transmission request signal from the switch, it sends the digital transmission information SG to the DCE 2 via the exchange.
In the line termination device DCE2, the signal reception conversion device SRT
When the transmission information SG for the terminal DTE2 is received, a carry detection signal CD to that effect is sent to the terminal DTE.
At the same time, as shown in FIG. 3B, the signal of the signal bit S0 in the received information SG is inserted into the signal bit S1 of the return information SG', and this signal is sent back to the transmitting terminal.

The line termination device DCE1 returns the information shown in Figure 3B.
SG′ is received via the exchange NW, and the signal bit S
It detects that 1 has become "1" and knows that the transmission request has reached the line terminating device DCE2.
Then, it generates a transmission enable signal CS to the terminal DTE1, and sends the CS signal to the terminal DTE1.

The functions of each line termination device are DCE1 and DCE
2 and 2 are respectively referred to as a transmitting side and a receiving side, but this is not limited to this example, and the same applies hereinafter even if the DCE1 is the receiving side and the DCE2 is the transmitting side. The configuration of the signal receiving and converting device shown in FIG. 2 includes a plurality of ordinary registers and shift registers, and is configured as shown in FIG. 4. That is, an n-bit shift register SFR1 that converts serial data to parallel data as shown in FIG. 3A and B, an n-bit shift register SFR2 that converts parallel data to serial data, and a similar n-2-bit shift register SFR3. ,SFR4,
The n-bit ordinary registers SRG1 and SRG2 are connected as shown in the figure. DR indicates a transmission driver, and RV indicates a receiver. The device in Figure 4 is DCE1
When operating as a switch, the signal RS arrives from the RS terminal and is activated, the signal shown in Figure 3A is created in SRG2, and sent via the sending driver DR to the receiving terminal (on the left) via the exchange. . This DCE1
When response information arrives, the signal is received from the upper left receiving terminal RV, and becomes parallel data in the shift register SFR1. In this example, the n-th bit is taken out and used as the send ready signal CS, so when "1" is set here, it is recognized that the destination terminal DTE2 is ready, and the signal CS is sent to the terminal DTE1.

Next, when the device of FIG. 4 operates as DCE2, the transmission request signal RS arrives from the upper left terminal RV as the signal SG of FIG. 3A. It is converted into parallel data in SFR1 and stored in register SRG1. The n-2 bit data excluding the bits at both ends is transferred to the n-2 bit shift register SFR3.
Serial data is stored at a terminal (not shown).
Sent as data to DTE2. register SRG
The first bit Q0 of 1 is the signal bit S0 corresponding to the transmission request signal in FIG. 3, and this is inserted as the n-th bit of the n-bit register SRG2 and sent to the right as the carry detection signal CD. The n-bit register SRG2 transfers the signal bit S0 to the signal bit S1 and sends it to the transmitting terminal side (left side) via the exchange.

(6) Effects of the Invention In this manner, according to the present invention, a line terminating device that has received a transmission request signal can send the signal to its own terminal after receiving a response from another line terminating device. Because signals are sent, it is easier to confirm that the line has been set up correctly between terminals compared to conventional signaling methods. Furthermore, since there is no need to incorporate a timer, which was conventionally required, in the line termination device that receives the transmission request signal, the configuration can be simplified.
