PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a flexible tube and a pipe and to improve the reliability of analysis by providing a detecting device which measures a sample in each measuring cell selectively by moving at least a detection part outside an enclosed container. CONSTITUTION:When a Ge detector 28 is set at the position where an X ray transmitted through optional cells 21a- for measurement can be detected, an X ray controlled by an X ray control board 34 is projected on the cells 21a- for measurement from an X ray generation tube 31. Then this X ray is detected by the Ge detector 28, whose signal has its crest value analyzed by a measuring circuit 33 and is used as an energy vector to calculate its concentration. Thus, the respective samples extracted at plural measurement points are measured by moving the detection part 26, so the cells 21a- for measurement, filters 24a-, and collimators 25a- are easily optimized and the reliability of analysis can be improved.
