Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily measure the gap between works without contacting by projecting a scanning light beam on a couple of works and detecting a sectional shape on the principle of trigonometric survey. CONSTITUTION:A scanning mirror 6 is rotated to scan the light beam 7 linearly between points A and B on the works 1a and 1b in an (x) direction. Light reflected by a half-mirror 8 is incident on a 1st linear light position detecting element 9, light which is transmitted through the half-mirror 8 and projected on the work 1 is diffuse-reflected, and the diffuse-reflected light is converged by a photodetection lens system 10 to form an image on a 2nd linear light position detecting element 11. Signals of (x)-directional displacement detected by the 1st linear light position detecting element 9 and (z)-direction displacement detected by the 2nd linear light position detecting element 11 are inputted to 1st and 2nd displacement computing element to calculate the actual position quantity, a step computing element 14 calculates a step (h), and a gap computing element 15 finds the gap value.
