Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain cement for forming a hardened body which has uniformly dispersed carbon fiber and good electrical conductivity by blending carbon fiber and carbonate or hydrogencarbonate of alkali metal with cement. CONSTITUTION:Electrically-conductive cement is obtained from cement composition incorporating carbon fiber and one or more kinds of carbonate or hydrogencarbonate of alkali metal. In order to produce electrically-conductive cement, carbon fiber, carbonate or hydrogencarbonate of alkali metal and cement composition are previously mixed by various mixers or these may be simultaneously mixed when using it as cement paste, motor or concrete. As rate of mixing, <=6wt.% carbon fiber and <=30wt.% carbonate or hydrogencarbonate of alkali metal are preferably used for the cement composition. Furthermore as the aim for preventing crazing due to drying and shrinkage of a hardened cement body, quartz, calcium carbonate, silicon carbide, alumina or talc, etc., can be added as hydrated inactive powder.
