Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep the degree of freshness of a fresh food case in a food freezer having a plurality of evaporators by a method wherein a control section of the freezer controls another control section so as to throttle a throttling device corresponding to an evaporator other than a specified evaporator when the temperature of an object to be cooled becomes higher than a predetermined temperature under the specified evaporator. CONSTITUTION: When the refrigerator temperature of a fresh food case becomes higher than a specified temperature, e.g. 2 deg.C or more under a defrosting operation and the like, a second controller 3-7 outputs a signal to the first controllers 4-7, 5-7, respectively, and reduces the degree of opening of a valve in each of the throttling devices 4-2, 5-2 by 1/2. As a result, since the entire resistance of a refrigerant circuit is increased, it is operated such that the pressure on the low pressure side of it is decreased, the evaporating temperature is decreased and a heat exchanging amount at an evaporator is increased. As a result, the degree of opening of the metering device 3-2 for an evaporator 3-1 is increased, the flow rate of refrigerant is increased and the cooling capability is increased. In this way, it is possible to maintain the freshness of food.
