Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a tube for a blood circuit permitting the smooth flow of blood without generating the stagnation or turbulent flow of blood, by changing an extruding condition when the tube is molded by the melt extrusion of a synthetic resin to form parts having difference diameters to one tube. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin is heated to melting temp. or more in a molding machine to be extruded into a tubular shape from a die in a molten state. At this time, a hollow state is held by blowing gas in the extrudate but, when the pressure of flow rate of the gas is enhanced, the diameter of a tube is increased and the wall thickness thereof is decreased. Since the an extruding condition is correlated not only with the relation between the diameter and wall thickness of the tube but also with a synthetic resin to be used and the melting temp. thereof, the die of a molding machine or the like, a molding condition is determined in comparison with the shape of the tube to be manufactured. The obtained tube for a blood circuit is constituted of a fine diameter part 2 and two kinds of large diameter parts 3, 4 and the diameters are smoothly changed at the boundaries of the parts 2, 3, 4 and, therefore, the generation of the stagnation or turbulent flow of blood at said parts is reduced and a thrombus is hard to generate and the tube pref. as the blood circuit is obtained.
