Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable control even in a place where potential fluctuates largely with the titled device for controlling the potential of an object to be protected by using a high speed response type device having specific constitution in place of PID control. CONSTITUTION:Protective current is supplied from an energizing electrode 2 to the object (3) to be protected and the potential of the pipe 3 is measured by a measuring means 5 with a potential reference electrode 4 as a reference. The basic controlled variable is instructed from a basic controlled variable setting means 6 to a current rectifier control means 7 in accordance with the result of the measurement, then said means instructs the quantity of energization to the current rectifier 1 and confirms the quantity. The change in the potential of the pipe 3 is detected by the means 5 and the automatic control operation is carried out by repeating the operation similar to the above-mentioned operation. The means 7 receives the pulse energization instruction from a pulse energization instruction deciding means 8 and controls the current rectifier 1 so as to make the pulse energization between the electrode 2 and the pipe 3. The means 8 takes the potential response value of the pipe 3 and the electrode 4 synchronized therewith into said means via the means 5 and calculates the relation between the energization value and potential change quantity in accordance with the potential response value. The means 6 takes in the result of the learning, sets the same and instructs the basic controlled variable in accordance with the result of said learning to the means 7.
