Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a metal sintered compact having complicated shape without post-processing by mixing binder containing thermoplastic polymer as main substance and the specific particle size of metal powder at the specific ratio, compacting by injecting, removing the binder heating under vacuum and sintering at the prescribed temp. CONSTITUTION:The mixed material composing 5-15wt.% of the binder containing a thermoplastic polymer as the main component and the balance, metal powder having 1-50mum average particle size by injecting. Next, after executing removal of the binder by heat-treating under inert gas or reducing gas atmosphere in the vacuum vessel, the green compact is sintered under suitable condition for the used metal. Then, the binder is composed of 20-60wt.% high density polyethyrene, etc., 20-60% ester methacrylate-ester acrylate coplymer, 2-20% diethyl phthalate, etc., 2-20% low density or high density polyethyrene wax. The metal sintered compact having complicated shape is obtd. without any post-processing.
