Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a normal copied image where distortion is corrected by converting the degree of the perspective caused by the fact that an equipment is used in a posture inclined to an image recording surface such as a blackboard into an electrical signal, and correcting an image. CONSTITUTION:In case the titled machine is set in a position shifted to left or right from the center of the blackboard, an image formed by a lens on a surface to be scanned by a line sensor 40 comes to be in a trapezoidal shape with its left part or right part narrowed pertinent to perspective, hence an image originally drawn as a square is read as a trapezoidal image and stored in a first frame memory 63. In the meantime, to an arithmetic circuit 64 connected to the frame 63, a correction circuit 82 that refers to voltage signals from potentioneters 80, 81, and generates a correction signal to correct the perspective based on the difference between said two voltage signals is connected. Thus the circuit 82 executes operation to widen the narrowed part of the image corresponding to the correction signal. As a result, a normal copy free from distortion can be obtained.
