Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the backward play-back by outputting the same interlock signal to the external devices and at the same time receiving those signals from said external devices irrespective of the tracing order of the prescribed work points in case a robot passes through these work points. CONSTITUTION:A robot controller 2 for a robot 1 consists of a CPU 3 which performs the arithmetic operations of the signals needed for actions of the robot 1, a ROM 4, a RAM 5, an I/O port 6 for a host computer serving as an external device which gives the integrated control to a production machine, etc., and a drive circuit 8 for a robot arm 7, etc. Thus the interlock data outputted to an external device is equal to the interlock data received from said external device even though the robot 1 passes through its work sections in the taught order or its reverse order. As a result, a play-back operation of the robot 1 is possible in both forward and reverse directions.
