Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a phase difference accurately, by determining zero cross time Tx and Ty of two analog signals while zero cross time Tz is determined for one thereof to compute a phase difference between the analog signals from the time Tx-Tz. CONSTITUTION:Input signals (x) and (y) are converted into digital from analog as indicated by 10 and 11 to be stored into RAMs 12 and 13. A CPU 15 first reads an amplitude data out of the RAM 12 to find a point of inverting the data and two amplitude data before and after the inversion are obtained to compute zero cross time Tx. Then, the CPU 15 further performs a reading out of the RAM 12 to find a point where the amplitude data turns to negative from positive value and the subsequent zero cross time Tz is computed while the time Tx is subtracted from the time Tz is computed while the time Tx is subtracted from the Tz to obtain a cycle Tw of the input signal (x). Then, the CPU 15 reads the amplitude data out of the RAM 13 to find a point where the polarity of the data inverts to compute zero cross time Ty before and after the inversion. Then, the CPU 15 performs a computation of (Tx-Ty)X360/ Tw to display 16 a phase difference in terms of angle. In this manner, the phase difference can be detected accurately.
