Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a black spot and an offset pattern from being generated on an image, by providing an applying means for applying a surface lubricant containing a fluorocarbon surface active agent, to at least one of a pair of rollers. CONSTITUTION:Felt 15a is impregnated with a surface lubricant containing a fluorocarbon surface active agent, and this surface lubricant is applied to the surface of a pressure roller 12 through the surface of a fixing roller 11. As for the surface lubricant used in such a case, that which lowers the surface potential of the pressure roller 12 or controls it to the polarity being different from that of a toner is mixed in. As for the fluorocarbon surface active agent contained in this surface lubricant, no-polyoxyethylene-n-propyl perfluorooctane sulfonic acid amide is suitable, and it will suffice that it is added by >=5wt.%. In such a way, a black point and an offset pattern can be presented from being generated on an image, by decreasing an offset toner.
