Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a spring which has resistance to thermal impact and excellent size accuracy, by a method wherein a ceramic material is formed by a linear part, intended to form a spring, and connection parts, and after baking thereof, the connection parts are removed. CONSTITUTION:The shape of a product 10a formed by a ceramic material is formed with a linear part 11, intended to form a helically continuous spring, and thin connection parts 12 to continuously connect the linear parts. This constitution prevents collapse of the shape of the produce 10a being relatively soft before baking. Since, after baking, the connection parts 12 are removed by grinding by using a diamond grinding stone, the thickness of the connection part is most preferably approximate 1/10 of the width of the spring.
