Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title compsn. which can remove metal ions adsorbed to hair, by mixing a particular monosalt of a collagen peptide acylated with a higher fatty acid with an anionic surfactant. CONSTITUTION:5-95wt.% monosalt (A) of a collagen peptide a cylated with a higher fatty acid contg. at least 50wt.% of a component of formula I [wherein R is a 9-19C straight-chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl; X and Y are various amino acids exclusive of glutamic acid or aspartic acid contained in a collagen peptide; m and n are each 0 or greater with the proviso that 1<=m+n<=9; p is up to 5 with the proviso that 2<=(m+n+1)Xp<=10; M is an alkali metal or an onium of ammonia, an org. amine, a basic amino acid or a polyethyleneimine; Glu is glutamic acid; and Asp is aspartic acid, with the proviso that Glu or Asp is necessarily contained as a constitutive amino acid] is mixed with up to 1/3 by wt. of the wt. of component (A) and up to 1/5 by wt. of the wt. of component (A) in terms of ash content as sulfate salt, of an anionic surfactant (B) [e.g., an alkylbenzenesulfonate salt of formula II (wherein R1 is a 10-18C alkyl; and M is an alkali metal or an onium of ammonia etc.)], optionally together with a hydrolyzed protein, a phosphate deriv., etc. (C).
