CONSTITUTION:For a digital MUSE high-definition television signal inputted from a terminal 201, high-definition video information is separated by a video information separating circuit 206, and the video information is reduced, by an information reducing circuit 207, down to a rate at which it can be recorded by a digital video tape recorder 204. Further, it is made into the video information, in which a data array is changed by a memory 208, converted to an NTSC signal by a synthesizing circuit 212, and recorded by the digital video tape recorder 204. A control circuit 205 outputs a muse frame pulse once for a MUSE frame, resets a counter for generating color frame pulse in a synchronizing generating circuit 211, and allows the MUSE frame and the color frame of the NTSC signal to correspond one to one.
