Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain magnetized powder having excellent wear resistance without any exfoliation by forming coating layer composing a matrix and hard fine particle of SiC, diamond, WC, etc., contained in the matrix on the surface of the magnetized particle. CONSTITUTION:In the magnetized powder coating the surface of the magnetized particle, the coating layer is constituted by the matrix and hard fine particle of at least one kind among SiC, diamond, WC, Al2O3, ZrO2, CBN, TiO2, Cr2O3, TiC, B4C, TiN, CeO2, TiB2 and ThO2. As the above magnetized particle, the material composing of iron or iron alloy, etc., and having about 5-100mum particle size is desirable. As the matrix metal, it is desirable that the material has good adhesion to the base material and it is suitable for use at about 0.6-20wt.%. Further, the hard fine particle is desirable to be used at about 1-15% of the matrix layer. The above coating layer is formed by electrolytic or electroless plating in the matrix metal plating solution suspending the hard fine particle.
