Abstract

A flow guide wire 3A is constituted by forming a synthetic resin coating part 2 to the surface of a metal inner core part 1, for example, by melt-coating and the synthetic resin coating part 2 has an almost same outer diameter over the total length thereof. Since the metal inner core part 1 is constituted of the twisted wire, if said core part is bent when inserted in a blood vessel, said core part 1 is easily restored to the initial state. Since the surface of the inner core part 1 is coated with a synthetic resin, a guiding property is excellent.
