Abstract
PURPOSE: To simply produce shorts excellent in wearing feeling by knitting into a continuous belt in which fabrics for shorts having specific shapes are continued by a warp knitting machine, folding fabrics for shorts cut and separated from the continuous belt into two parts and sewing or bonding the fabrics for shorts. CONSTITUTION: A fabric A for shorts in which a front body-forming part 1, a crotch part-forming part 2 and a rear body-forming part 3 are successively arranged in series in wale direction (p) and the front and rear bodies-forming parts 1 and 3 are each parallel to each edge part side in the both side edges in the wale direction (p) and have rectangle parts 1' and 3' having same width (a), and the length in course direction is symmetrically gradually decreased from the rectangle parts 1' and 3' toward the crotch part forming part 2 is knitted while adjusting density of knitted fabric and a continuous belt A' of fabric A for shorts is knitted through a cutting part 4. The continuous belt A' is cut in the cutting part 4 and the cutting part is removed and folded into two parts and both side edges of each rectangle parts 1' and 3' are mutually sewn or bonded.
