Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the sliding property of a vane by inclining the end face of cylindrical vane convexly to the axis of vane. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 13 is constituted from a rotor 16 having a groove 15 for slidably holding a cylindrical vane 14 and a main shaft 17 formed integrally and coaxially with the rotor 16 to be rotatably supported by a bearing 11. The vane 14 is formed on the end face with a tapered surface 14a making about 2 deg. of angle. Since a side plate 12 makes surface contact with the vane 14 even if the vane 14 is inclined in the groove 15 by a pressure difference between both end faces of vane 14 or strain of groove 15 surface, or the like, torque loss or noises of vane due to a wedge effect are not generated so that stable vane operation can be expected.
