Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain the optimum reproduction of an information and to improve the S/N of a regenerative signal by changing the step-up ratio of a transformer for a regenerative signal in accordance with the relative speed of a reproducing head and a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reproducing a signal, step-up transformers 5-1 and 5-2 are set so that the step-up ratio can be respectively maximum in the inner circumferential side and the outer circumferential side of a magnetic sheet 2. The video signal of the sheet 2 is reproduced by heads 1-1 and 1-2, and inputted through the transformers 5-1 and 5-2 to a preamplifier 6. At this time, based on the control signal from a head position detector 26, respective heads are selected so that the step-up ratio of respective transformers can be lower at the time of the outer circumferential side of the sheet 2 or the step-up ratio can be higher at the time of the inner circumferential side. The output of the amplifier 6 is FM-demodulated 8 and 10, an original Y+S signal, R-Y signal and B-Y signal are obtained and a TV signal is formed through a process circuit 12 and an NTSC encoder 13.
