PURPOSE:To automatically meter electric energy from a remote location by sending a signal corresponding to the electric energy to a communication cable via a metering device, a 1st coupler, a lead-in wire, a 2nd coupler and a processing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A processing circuit 7 outputs a metering command signal operating only one specific set of plural adaptors 3 to all adaptors sequentially via the coupler 1 and the lead-in wire 2. The metering command signal is inputted to each metering device via all couplers 5 and only the metering device 6 designated by the metering command signal meters an integrating watthour meter 4, an integrating wattmeter signals is A/D-converted, the result is outputted to the processing circuit 7 via the coupler 5, the lead-in wire 2 and the coupler 1. The processing circuit 7 gives an output to a base station through the communication cable 8. Thus, the automatic remote metering is attained.
