Abstract

PURPOSE:To apply a high flexibility to a parts supplying part by simplifying functions of a parts feeder with detection by a visual sensors and processing of robot action corresponding to it so as to make it possible to process mixed parts of more than two sorts. CONSTITUTION:A part put on a ball part 2 of a parts feeder is determined by a visual sensor 9, and it is handled by a robot to which the result of determination is sent, and the part is assembled in a product on a pallet 31 transferred by a conveyor 32. A part which cannot be processed by the ball part 2 is stored in another ball part 28, and the ball parts 2 and 28 are automatically replaced using a replacement device 30 based on an external command. Functions of the parts feeder can thus be simplified without providing mechanical parts to decide the attitude and position of parts, and it is made possible to process mixed parts of more than two sorts. A high flexibility can thus be applied to a parts supplying part.
