At this time, the controller 40 detects the state of the inverter 30 by a current sensor 51 and a voltage sensor 52. When an excess current flows or a voltage drop occurs, the controller 40 decides a fault to stop the drive of the inverter 30, further turns OFF the contactor 42 to shut OFF a compressor motor 1M from the inverter 30. A wire wound resistor of the motor 1M is detected by a wire wound resistor detector 55. If a fault is detected, a fault lamp of a display 44 is lit to inform the fault.
