Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce an optional composite powder without any fear of wear and clogging of a nozzle by spraying second metal powder or ceramic powder to film-like flow by gas or water injection and supplying this to atomizing field of first molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The gas or water is injected through slit 2 to form the film-like flow 3. The second metal powder 4 or ceramic powder is sprayed on the flow 3 and this is supplied to the atomizing field of the first metal. By this method, the first metal powder and the second metal powder or ceramic powder are combined to obtain the fused composite powder. The combination and blending ratio for composite powder to be produced, wide selecting range of particle size distribution and various kinds of products can be stably produced.
