Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink having excellent visibility and adhesive power even at high temperatures, by using a hydrolyzed solid substance of a metallic alkoxide in a glass based component in an ink, consisting of the glass based component, a solvent, binder and electric conductivity imparting agent and useful for ink jet printers. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant ink, obtained by using a hydrolyzed solid substance (fine particle having preferably <=0.6mum average particle diameter and <=2mum maximum particle diameter and the melting point within the range of heat-resistant temperature range of a material to be printed) in a glass based component in an ink, consisting of the glass based component, a solvent, binder and electric conductivity imparting agent and useful for ink jet printers, capable of discoloring and decomposing the colorant and binder and providing printed letters having excellent visibility and adhesive property even at high temperatures. Furthermore, if the hydrolyzed solid substance of the above- mentioned metallic alkoxide will not assume sufficient coloration, a pigment, etc., are preferably added and blended.
