Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the excess displacement of an outboard motor when a mount is displaced by a thrust to be applied to the outboard motor, by restricting the displacement of the mount by a thrust stopper. CONSTITUTION:A drive shaft housing 1 is formed at its side surface with an upper mount cover 7. A mount member 8 is installed in the mount cover 7, and a mounting bolt 9 is inserted into the mount member 8. The mount cover 7 is formed with stopper walls 17 and 18 opposed in spaced relationship to side surfaces of a forwarding thrust stopper 15 and a reversing thrust stopper 16, respectively, so that the thrust stoppers 15 and 16 may abut against the stopper walls 17 and 18, respectively, upon deflection of the mount member 8, thereby restricting an amount of displacement of the mount member 8.
