Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the working of attachment for a weather strip adapted to be mounted to an opening edge of an automobile or the like and having a synthetic resin rubber body, by incorporating a peeling member having a polarity different from that of the rubber body and being easily separatable from the rubber body, integrally with the outer surface part of the rubber body. CONSTITUTION:The rubber body 4a of a weather strip 4 is made of polypropyrene-diemthyl rubber. A peeling member 5 having a polarity different from that of the rubber body and being easily separatable from the rubber body 4a, that is, the one made of nitril rubber, vinyl chloride or the like is integrally incorporated with the rubber body 4a. Further, the weather strip 4 is bonded between a body panel 1 and a window glass plane 2 with the use of an adhesive agent 3, and thereafter the peeling member 5 is separated. With this arrangement, a part 3a of the adhesive agent bulged out may be removed together with the peeling member 5. Accordingly, it is possible to clean the outer surface of the weather strip 4, and it is possible to facilitate the attachment of the weather strip.
