透明の導光板と、この導光板の前面に配置された
光拡散板と、前記導光板の１つの端面に臨んで配
置された光源とを備え、かつ上記導光板の少なく
とも片面に凹凸状粗面または拡散性塗層による調
光用散乱面が形成された面照明装置において、上
記導光板と光拡散板の間に所定厚さの透明間隙を
形成したことを特徴とする面照明装置。 (2) 間隙は１〜５mm厚さの空隙からなる実用新
