Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the strength, toughness and wear-resistance of a Cu alloy by specifying Zn, Al, Mn, Si, Fe, Ni, Co, P, Mg, Ca, O, Cr and Cu and uniformly dispersing the intermetallic compounds thereamong, etc., into a matrix. CONSTITUTION:Said Cu alloy is formed with the compsn. consisting of, by weight, 17-40% Zn, 2-11% Al, 0.5-6% Mn, 0.1-2% Si, one or more kinds among 0.1-3% Fe, Ni and Co, one or more kinds among 0.003-0.3% P, Mg and Ca, 30-1,000ppm O and the balance Cu, or in addition to this, furthermore with 0.05-1% Cr. The intermetallic compounds thereamong and the oxides thereof are then uniformly dispersed into the matrix.
