Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which gives a covered object having excellent antistatic properties, coloration, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, blocking resistance, slipperiness, etc., by mixing a carbon-black-grafted polymer and a binder. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. carbon black (a) having functional groups, such as -COOH or -OH, on its surface is reacted at 20-350 deg.C with 5-400pts.wt. polymer (b) of an average molecular weight of 200-1,000,000, having in the molecule one or more groups reactive with component (a), said groups being selected from aziridine, oxazoline, N-hydroxyalkylamido, epoxy, and isocyanato groups, thus giving a carbon-black-grafted polymer. 1-300pts.wt. this graft polymer is incorporated into a solution prepared by dissolving 100pts.wt. binder (e.g., PVC) having an average molecular weight of 1,000-1,000,000 in a solvent such as alcohol or acetone.
