Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the title resin composition which can give a foam excellent in flame retardancy, strength, adhesiveness, etc., by using a phenolic resin, a polyester-polyol, an isocyanate compound and a reaction catalyst as essential components. CONSTITUTION:A foamable resin composition is constituted of a phenolic resin, a polyester-polyol, an isocyanate compound (e.g., tolylene diisocyanate), a reaction catalyst (e.g., dibutyltin dilaurate) and, optionally, a foam stabilizer (e.g., silicone polymer), a flame retardant (e.g., hexabromobenzene), a blowing agent (e.g., monofluorotrichloromethane) and/or a carbohydrate (e.g., glucose). A foam can be obtained by pouring this foamable resin composition into a mold, and foaming the composition after clamping.
