Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce flocculated precipitate which is free from offensive odor and easy in handling by treating waste having large water content with an oxidizing agent and a reagent feeding Fe<3+> and subjecting water pollutants to oxidative destruction, adsorption, flocculation and precipitation and thereafter dehydrating it. CONSTITUTION:After transferring waste 14 in a storage tank 12 to a first tank 18 of a waste treatment tank 10 by a pump 16, an oxidizing agent is fed into the tank 18 by a feeding means 20 of the oxidizing agent and the mixture is agitated by an agitator 22 and allowed to react with each other. Then the waste after reaction is transferred to a second tank 24 and an iron-base inorganic flocculating agent is fed thereto by a feeding means 26 of the inorganic flocculating agent. The waste is agitated by the agitator 22 in the tank 24 and water pollutants contained in waste are sufficiently flocculated. Thereafter the waste is sent to a dehydrator 40 and easily separated into flocculated precipitate 42 and water 44 being filtrate. Water content of flocculated precipitated 42 is regulated to 64-70% below in the case of a press method.
