Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently remove cyan by bringing waste water contg. cyan into contact with ion exchange resin carrying copper ions under the existence of a reducing agent. CONSTITUTION:Waste water contg. free cyan and cyano-complex is introduced into a pH regulation tank 1 and both a pH regulating agent and a reducing agent are added while agitating the waste water. Further the reducing agent such as sulfite and hydrosulfide is added at 50-200mg/l. Then this raw water is introduced into a reaction tower 2 and passed through an ion exchange layer 3 carrying copper ions to allows the raw water to react therewith. The reaction liquid is introduced into a filter 4 and SS is separated and removed and it is discharged as treated water. Thereby the treatment is enabled en bloc and recovery of noble metal, etc., is enabled.
