Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to identify whether the temperature of a substance to be measured is a critical temperature or below, by fitting a superconductor on the substance to be measured and by measuring the resistance thereof. CONSTITUTION:A first superconductor 1 having a critical temperature of 30K is shaped in such a wiring body as having a sufficiently large resistance of about 1komega when the temperature thereof exceeds 30K in a large degree, and it is formed on a thin film 20 of excellent heat conduction. With this thin film 20 fitted on a substance to be measured, the resistance between electrodes 11 and 12 is measured and it is known that the temperature of the substance is lower than 30K when the value of the resistance is close to 0 and smaller sufficiently than 1komega, while it is known that the temperature is 30K or above when the value is close to 1komega. The temperature of the substance to be measured can be measured widely and simply when a second superconductor 2 having a critical temperature of 54K and a third superconductor 3 having a critical temperature of 98K connected in series to the superconductor 1 are formed on the thin film 20 and a diagram of the relationship between the temperature and the resistance is prepared.
