従来のシリンダヘツドのウオータジヤケツトの
1例として、特開昭58−143149号公報に示される
ように、シリンダヘツドa内に形成したウオータ
ジヤケツトbの上壁部cをカムシヤフトdのカム
eに干渉しないように円孤状に凹設したものがあ
る(第1図)。しかしこれは単にカムeの干渉を
避けるために前記上壁部cを円孤状に凹設したも
のであるため、この上壁部cに接する部分の冷却
水の流れは、抵抗を受けることが少ないのでスム
ースである反面、ウオータジヤケツトbの下部に
おける冷却水の流れは、大きな抵抗を受けてスム
ースでなく、燃焼室周辺部を構成するウオータジ
ヤケツトbの下壁部fの冷却効果が不十分となり
バルブシートの耐久性が劣るという問題があつ
た。

増して、燃焼室周辺部の冷却効果を高めたものが
ある(第2図)。しかし前記リブgを設けると吸
排気ポート周辺部等を冷却する冷却水量が減少し
て該部の冷却効果が低下する上に、リブgと上壁
部cとの間に空気層が形成され易く、これによつ
てシリンダヘツドaにおける冷却水温度分布が悪
化し、場合によつてはシリンダヘツドaに亀裂が
生ずるという問題がある。

ヤケツトの構造を構成したことを特徴とする。
