Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the contact area of a sample liquid and inert gas and to improve the efficiency of cooling the sample liquid by dispersing the sample liquid supplied from a reactor to multiple directions in an extraction column. CONSTITUTION:A sample supplying means 1 supplies the sample in which org. carbon is incorporated. A reaction liquid supplying means 4 supplies a reaction liquid to the sample. The reactor 12 forms carbon dioxide by bringing the org. carbon in the sample and the reaction liquid into reaction. An extracting means 20 extracts the carbon dioxide from the sample liquid by blowing the inert gas into the sample liquid supplied from the reactor 12. A measuring means 23 measures the amt. of the carbon dioxide extracted by the means 20 and detects the content of the carbon incorporated into the sample. The means 20 is constituted of a nozzle 32 which disperses the sample liquid supplied from the reactor 12 to the multiple directions, the extraction column 21 which blows the inert gas into the sample liquid ejected from the nozzle 32 and separates the sample liquid into the carbon dioxide and moisture and a cooling means 27 which cools the extraction column 21. The efficiency of cooling the sample liquid is thereby improved.
