Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten a transmission and improve a loading property to a vehicle by providing each shaft mutually parallel, superposing an input shaft on an output shaft in the axial direction, and placing the output shaft below the input shaft. CONSTITUTION:Input and output shafts 11, 12 and both counter shafts 13, 14 are all placed in parallel and the output shaft 12 is placed below the input shaft 11 by a defined quantity. As a result, the shaft length of a transmission can be greatly reduced by the amount of the axially superposed length of the input and output shafts 11, 12 to enable the transmission TM to be minaturized and lightened improving its loading property to a vehicle. Also, the position of a rear propeller shaft linked to the output shaft 12 can be made lower as compared with the conventional shaft position, improving the loading property to the vehicle also in this point.
