Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a pressplate making method capable of accurately easily mounting offset printing plates on a bed plate according to a plate mounting rule, by a method wherein, a light-transmittable bed plate is laid over a light- transmitting printing plate mounting sheet, and the mounting positions of a plurality of offset printing plates are determined on the bed plate using reference lines, register marks, etc., which can be seen through the bed plate. CONSTITUTION:Register marks M etc., on a lower sheet 3 for mounting printing plates can be seen through register marks M' applied on offset printing plates 1a-1d. Reference lines L, the register marks M, etc., on the lower sheet 3 can be seen through a bet plate 2 for setting the offset printing plates to a plate cylinder of a printing press. These materials are laid over a light table normally used in a camera copying process, and the positions of the printing plates are approximately determined according to the printing plate mounting reference lines L on the light-transmitting sheet 3. After that, the register marks M' on the printing plates are visually made coincident with the register marks M, whereby the positions of the printing plates 1a-1d are determined.
