Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture, and to enable highly compact arrangement by composing a magnetic head for recording of at least a heating resistor layer on a magnetic substance and a magnetic substance layer formed onto the heating resistor layer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic record medium is imparted with a constant writing magnetic field in the direction opposite to previously given remanence by the leakage flux 19 of a writing air gap 20, and the temperature of a section brought into contact with a heating resistor 14 of an upper yoke 18 rises and reluctance is increased and the writing magnetic field in the writing air gap is reduced when the heating resistor 14 is conducted through patterns 15, 16. The upper yoke easily reaches a Curie temperature because it is composed of Mn-Zn ferrite, the heating section of the upper yoke 18 is made equivalent to a non-magnetic substance, and the writing magnetic field generated in the writing air gap can be reduced to substantially zero. Consequently, the writing magnetic field in the writing air gap is controlled by controlling the temperature of a heating element, and a magnetic latent image pattern can be shaped onto a magnetic record medium drum turned adjacent to the writing air gap. Accordingly, a coil is dispensable and simple constitution is acquired, and highly compact and high integration are realized.
