CONSTITUTION:When image data at the time of the output thereof and a dot pattern are made to correspond each other, a 3X3 matrix is used in the pale density dots of color ink, the 5 dots are employed as the upper limit of the pale density dots of color ink though the matrix is buried at 100% by 9 dots, 7 dots are used as the upper limit exceptionally, the driving of dots is started from the center of the dot matrix, and the number of driving is increased in the clockwise direction to the periphery from the center. Regarding the pale density ink of black ink, on the other hand, 4 dots are employed as the upper limit of pale density dots, and 7 dots are used as the upper limit exceptionally. The driving of dots is started from the corner of the dot matrix, and the number of driving is augmented in the counterclockwise direction to the center from the periphery. Accordingly, color ink and black ink are overlapped in a low density region, and the turbidity of colors can be prevented, thus acquiring bright smooth image quality.
