PURPOSE:To improve the desilverization of the titled material, and to prevent the generation of a drying stain by constituting a bleach-fix bath which is used in a combination with a stabilization processing instead of a water washing for a short period, of at least two or more baths of counter-current type continuous bleach-fix baths, and holding the silver concn. of the final bleach-fix bath to <=80% the silver concn. of a 1st. bath. CONSTITUTION:The titled material is constituted of at least one layer of a photosensitive emulsion layers comprising a silver halide emulsion contg. >=0.5mol.% silver iodide. And, in the bleach-fix processing process of the titled material, the counter-current type process is adopted using the metal complex salt of an org. acid as an oxidizing reagent, and at least two or more baths of the continuous bleach-fix baths are used. The silver concn. of the final bleach- fix bath is held at <=80% that of the 1st. bleach-fix bath. Thus, the desilverization of the titled material is not only rapidly and sufficiently carried out, but also the generation of the drying stain is prevented in case that the titled method is combined with the stabilization processing, instead of the water washing for the short period.
