Abstract

PURPOSE:To assemble a light guide circuit and connecting jig with high accuracy by using the connecting jig and bringing the connecting jig into tight contact with the surface recesses and the side walls of the stopper parts of the light guide circuit. CONSTITUTION:This connecting jig 13 has the outside wall parts to be brought into tight contact with the surface recesses and at least one side face of the stopper parts 8-1, 8-2 of the light guide circuit 6. The jig is previously formed by machining with guide grooves 14-1, 14-2 for fibers in such a manner that the central parts of respective core parts 11-1, 11-2 of light guides 7-1, 7-2 align to the central parts of respective cores 16-1, 16-2 of optical fibers 15-1, 15-2. Such jig 13 is brought into tight contact with the surface recesses and the side walls of the stopper parts 8-1, 8-2 of the light guide circuit 6. The light guide circuit and the connecting jig are thereby assembled with the high accuracy.
