CONSTITUTION:A color TV signal is outputted from an image pickup element 49 which is driven by a camera driving circuit 50. Among the color TV signals, an area which is the background of the image information is separated and converted into u*v*w* chromaticity index in a color discrimination circuit 51 after averaging the intensity of signals of hues of R, G and B. Meanwhile, the contents of the display and the reference signal of a standard color are outputted from a control circuit 53 and the output value of the reference signal is compared with the output from the color discrimination circuit 51 in a comparison circuit 52. And when both of them are the too near values of u*v*w*, the brightness of the display color of the display information is made sufficiently bright or the hue of the display color is altered through a liquid crystal driving circuit.
