Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce shock upon clutch engagement by interrupting the compensating operation of an integrator in a PI or PID operating means for compensating a control signal transmitted to an actuator for controlling the transmission capacity of the clutch, when the changed-over from a non-running range into a running range is detected. CONSTITUTION:The transmission capacity of a start clutch 20 disposed in the driven side of a V-belt type continuously variable transmission is controlled by controlling a start control valve 45 in accordance with a control signal. In this arrangement, a determining means 80 for determining a desired engine rotational speed in a running range is disposed in a start clutch control system in an electronic control device. Further, an output signal from this determining means 80 is processed by a proportioning unit 82, a differentiator 83 and an integrator 83 in a PID operating means 81, and output signals therefrom are added together to obtain a control signal which is applied to the start control valve 45. In this arrangement, when the change-over from a non-drive range into a drive range is detected by a detecting means 83, a stopping means 86 stops the integrating operation of the integrator 84 for a set time.
