Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a product and to reduce the cost by coating the non-corrosive flux of a fluoride on the specified part of a press plate and fin and brazing by containing the Mg of specific weight in the brazing filler metal of the press plate. CONSTITUTION:Press plates 12, 12' are composed by the brazing sheet cladding the Al-Si brazing filler metal contg. about 0.1-0.5wt.% Mg. A non-corrosive fluoride flux 15 is coated respectively on the joining face of the mutual press plate 12, 12' and that of a fin and after drying the flux 15 thereof brazing is executed under nonoxidizing atmosphere. The flow of the flux 15 is restrained with the reaction of the fluorine in the flux and Mg in the brazing filler metal. The reduction in the heat exchanging performance due to the flux residue is thus prevented. Consequently the performance of the product is improved and the production cost is reduced by the lightening.
