Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. which is excellent in the foaming property and low-temp. stability and low in the skin irritation, by mixing water with a salt- or free-type acylisethionic acid, a higher fatty acid, and a particular taurine surfactant together with a pearling agent. CONSTITUTION:3-30wt.% acylisethionic acid (salt) (A) of formula I [wherein R1 is a 7-17C (unsatd.)satd. hydrocarbon group] (e.g., sodium cocoylisethionic acid) is mixed with a higher fatty acid (B) of formula II (wherein R2 is R1) (e.g., lauric acid) and a taurine surfactant of formula III [wherein R3 is R1; R4 is H, a 1-4C (unsatd.)satd. hydrocarbon group] (e.g., sodium lauroylmethyltaurine) in an A to (B+C) wt. ratio of 10/1-30. Then, a pearling agent, such as bismuth oxychloride or distearyl ethylene glycol, is added in an amt. of 5-6% to the mixture and mixed with water at 70-95 deg.C to homogeneously dissolve the mixture in water. The soln. is adjusted to have a pH value of 5-8.
