Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of a high-frequency noise content without using a high-cost multiplying circuit, by constituting a feed forward system with use of a D/A converter which converts a digital image signal to an analog image signal and adds it to a light modulator. CONSTITUTION:One output beam from a beam splitter 3 dividing an output beam of a first light modulator 2 is added to a second light modulator 4; the other output beam is added to a light detector 5. An output signal from the light detector 5 is added to a signal separation circuit 6 to be separated into a low-frequency content and a high-frequency content. The low-frequency content is added to a first drive circuit 8 driving the light modulator 2 via a reversing circuit 7, simultaneously being added to one input terminal of an adder 9 without being reversed. The high-frequency content is added to the other input terminal of the added 9 via a reversing circuit 10. And output signal of the added 9 is added to a D/A converter 12 converting a digital image signal to an analog image signal as a reference voltage via a potential divider 11. A conversion output from the converter 12 is added to a drive circuit 13 driving the light modulator 4.
